Todd A. Brownell

Todd A. Brownell is a shareholder who joined the firm in 2000. Todd focuses his practices in all aspects of family law and divorce. He represents clients in divorce and legal separation cases, including the division of assets and debts, spousal maintenance and support, child custody and visitation, child support, and post divorce modifications and enforcement. Additionally, Todd has significant experience with adoptions, guardianships, and grandparent visitation. Todd is very experienced and skilled in working with persons in stressful and heavily contested situations.
Prior to joining Jorgensen, Brownell & Pepin, P.C. in 2000, Todd worked as a caseworker with public interest and non-profit organizations in New York City. His work included advocating for medical, housing, disability and support benefits, contested landlord – tenant matters, small claims court matters, and job training and coaching. While in law school, Todd participated in clinical programs in immigration law and trial practice.
Todd is licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado, before the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, in the State of New York, and before the courts of New York State’s Third Appellate Judicial District. He is current or past member of the Boulder County and Weld County Bar Associations, the Colorado Bar Association, The New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Family Law sections of the Boulder County, Colorado, New York State, and American Bar Associations. During his free time, Todd likes to travel, mountain bike, and cross-country ski.
